My Review:
What a fun romcom about a prickly textile designer/artist and a sweet tech-guy-turned-squash farmer set in small-town Indiana!
Sadie left her rural hometown for the design world in LA and never looked back, escaping her narcissistic mother and meh father for her own life. But when dear old dad heads to Florida to care for his ailing brother, he begs Sadie to come home and tend to his pumpkins so they can once again win the giant pumpkin contest.
Brilliant Josh made bank on his video game design but found the tech world empty and superficial. So he decides to try his hand at small-town farming and a more peaceful life, next door to Sadie’s dad. Until Sadie comes crashing in.
Right off the bat, she’s prickly as all get-out and he’s the classic kindhearted golden retriever, and somehow it seems to work. Only, seriously, she’s a pain in the you-know-what and just unnecessarily mean at times. Sadie’s the taker, Josh is the giver, though it gets slightly more complicated than that. I loved the back and forth, the banter, the small-town vibes, the fun. The characters learn and grown, and the chemistry is on fire!
I listened to the audiobook and Adelaide Fernport’s narration was fantastic!

My Review:
Dating Dr. Love is a delightful romcom with a little bit of everything—the fun, lightheartedness of a serious surgeon and a TV doctor on a fake dating/PR mission, with a few more serious themes popping in for a bit.
Top surgeon Chloe’s worked so hard to shed her overbearing, wealthy family’s legacy and earn a big promotion on her own merit. Famous TV doctor Logan needs to stay off the party scene and is lying low at the hotel where Chloe is set to make her big presentation to all the big bosses. When a room mix-up causes a media sensation that could ruin their career goals, they think quickly to come up with a win-win fake relationship, and it’s on!
What a fun book! So many scenes had me laughing, and you can really feel the chemistry and tension between Chloe and Logan, see the sides they often hide from the world, and grow to love them as characters. I did get annoyed with Chloe allowing her parents to control her life, and that she wasn’t truly able to stand up to them for herself.
And this book had plenty of my favorite tropes—forced proximity, fake relationships, successful career women, only one bed, the list goes on.

My review:
Finally, Warren and Matty’s story! I was so excited to jump into the Lucky Lovers of London series Book 4 and it did not disappoint!
Warren’s the bartender at the underground and highly illegal Curious Fox, a queer club in 1880s London. He’s worked to support his mother and had lots of casual fun at the club, and doesn’t see that ending anytime soon. Until his long-lost brother returns with plenty of money and encourages Warren to do something different. Warren has always loved art and decides an art class would let him try a new hobby and keep his family off his back.
Matty (aka Detective Inspector Matthew Shaw) is charged with going undercover to find information about an art fraud ring, and where does he end up but in Warren’s class. The attraction simmers, but Warren’s boss explicitly forbade him from seeing Matty. And Matty’s already in hot water at Scotland Yard, as the higher-ups have heard rumors about his queerness. He can’t be suspected of carrying on with Warren.
But of course they can’t resist each other for too long (though they try)! I loved them both—trying to stay true to themselves and their hearts in a society that wants to punish them, finding love and support from each other, growing into themselves and what they really want. I really enjoyed their journey, the found family elements, and all the Curious Fox characters. You can read this as a standalone and enjoy it, but I highly recommend reading the rest of the series first, especially David and Noah’s story.
