Sixteen years later, the earl is dead and Cece is on a mission to find Jasper and get him back, but he’s not the same teenage boy she so fondly remembers. Both were devastated and heartbroken, and their years apart were full of regret, sadness, and building up walls. Still, the attraction didn’t abate, nor did their unique bond.

Three Sins and a Scoundrel is a beautiful, heartfelt, and spicy (but not over the top) conclusion to Tracy Sumner’s Duchess Society series. Cece and Jasper battle their feelings, their willingness to be vulnerable, their doubts that the other shares their love. Tracy Sumner writes chemistry and feelings to perfection, with the most gorgeous inner thoughts and spot-on dialogue.

Plus, the Three Sins and a Scoundrel friend group! Talk about the perfect found family. If I had the chance to be friends with some people in 1830s England, it would be these characters! It features strong, passionate, interesting women with equally strong, passionate, and interesting men who have plenty of bad boy in them but adore their wives. This series is a little bit like Bridgerton with more edge and less propriety.
