Perfect—now she can breathe, take a cross-country road trip from L.A. to her New Jersey hometown, and make it to her best friend’s birthday party.

Nate learns she’s heading out of town and asks for a ride to Lake Tahoe on her way so he can meet up with a mutual friend, Logan about business. But Logan goes off the grid and seems to be avoiding them, so now they’re chasing him across the country together and having some wild adventures.

I absolutely LOVE road trip romances, and Fun at Parties was no exception, especially when the characters are trying to figure out their lives and learning to lean on one another for support. Quinn has a complicated family history with a mom who’s a master manipulator, and Quinn lets her even though it puts her in a horrible financial position. Her boss is a stereotypical all-about-image manipulator, and Nate helps Quinn see herself in a more powerful light and develop a backbone.

Nate has some confidence issues too, and Quinn helps him see how capable he is. Their history made it awkward at first and made both of them slow to trust their feelings. The turmoil in both their lives made things complicated and so rewarding to see them grow and figure it out. Plus, the LOL moments along the way made this such an enjoyable book.
