Once Olivia arrives, things just don’t add up. Whatever really happened in 1945, someone REALLY doesn’t want her to find out. Which makes her even more determined to uncover the truth. But who can she trust?

Told from multiple perspectives in multiple timelines, A Murder in Paris lets you piece the story together little by little and really get into these characters. I’m usually a single-timeline person but the different time frames were perfect for this book. I found myself going back and forth on who and what to believe, who’s a liar, what really happened, and I was definitely unprepared for the twist at the end.

The recovered memory and related psychological themes were fascinating! How do we know what’s real? There are so many ways our minds play tricks on us, so many ways our thoughts and memories can be manipulated by us and other people. And it was fun to learn a little about post-war Paris.

So glad I grabbed the audiobook of A Murder in Paris from my library app! The three narrators—Rose Robinson, Penelope Rawlins, and Josh Wichard—were fantastic and suited the book perfectly. With multiple perspectives, it helped so much to have a few narrators!
